The firm's '#MadeByGoogle' event kicks off at 11a.m. (ET) on Tuesday and is hosting a livestream of all the announcements. Multiple images, videos and spec-sheet leaks have given us a pretty good idea of the design of the new Pixel phones.
Google has been somewhat restrained in its distribution and marketing the Pixel phone, Llamas said, because it doesn't want to alienate Samsung and hundreds of other device makers who feature Android in their own phones. It is clear, Google may not be going for any radical changes. Wireless charging support could also mean Google would announce its own wireless charging stand, or the "Pixel stand". It will have a (rather large) top bezel instead, to match the bottom chin. The display may an aspect ratio of 3:2, and have multi-touch and stylus support. Simply place the phone somewhere convenient, then pose and it will try to figure out when it has the best picture based on cues like "when everyone is looking at the camera and smiling". The notch will house dual cameras, one of which is expected to come with a wide-angle lens, the earpiece and sensors.
We know there won't be a Pixel Watch or a third phone. Under the hood, both the smartphones are likely to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 SoC clubbed with a 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal memory.
According to the listing, a regular Pixel 3 with 64GB of storage could cost as much as 1,099.99 Canadian dollars (£649.45/$846.22). That includes many that rely on free software and apps such as the free Android operating system, which powers most of the world's mobile devices, as well as Google's search engine, Google Maps and YouTube. As for the back, Google is sticking to the same single camera setup, so you're getting a single 12.2MP camera on the back. The new leak on the Pixel Slate has no information on its pricing. Google hasn't yet discussed prices for its Pixel phones. However this listing does confirm a number of features about the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, including the fact that pre-orders are starting today. Visually, the Pixel 3 XL device will be slightly bigger than the Pixel 3, however, the two devices will be same in terms of functionality and specifications.
