Lonzo Ball on biggest adjustment playing with LeBron James

While the Los Angeles Lakers managed to rest LeBron James and some others in the fourth quarter of Wednesday's win against the Phoenix Suns - their first victory of the season - they still looked sluggish against the Denver Nuggets in the early going of a back-to-back.

Lonzo Ball scored 12 points with eight assists for the Lakers, while Josh Hart added 12 points in his second start of the season.

James signed with the Lakers three months ago after leading the Cleveland Cavaliers to four straight National Basketball Association final appearances, including their first championship in 2016. The next trip down, he launched another three-and hit it.

LeBron James and Lance Stephenson team up to power the Lakers to their second straight triumph.

The three-time National Basketball Association champion put up 19 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds before sitting out the fourth quarter, with the Lakers 20 points ahead.

Jamal Murray scored 22 points and Monte Morris had 20, but Denver couldn't answer the Lakers' rally led by James, who posted his third career triple-double in Staples Center for his third different team. "He was unbelievable coming off what he did last night", said James.

JaVale McGee also continued to exceed expectations, posting his best game as a Laker with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks in 25 minutes.

Despite a few careless turnovers and a couple of defensive lapses from the 2017 No. 2 pick, the Lakers were +10 with him on the court and minus-3 without him.

While playing with James ultimately makes the game easier on his teammates, not everyone takes to his playing style right away.

They were also missing Brandon Ingram who was slapped with a four-game ban for starting the melee, then, after being separated, charging back into the kerfuffle and throwing a wild sucker punch from behind at an unsuspecting Houston player.

What the Lakers are good as it going to help them a ton; they push the pace, score a lot of points and drive to the basket a ton.

"I don't think there's a statement game to be made". He has some of the quickest hands that this league has. According to Lance Stephenson, Luke Walton unloaded on his player personnel during a team meeting, hours before shootaround.

Once longtime rivals, James was thankful to see Bryant come out and watch him and the Lakers. "So, I mean, we took care of business tonight".
