Save 30% on Fossil's brand new Sport smartwatch

The Fossil Sport features a sleek, ultra-lightweight design and colourful silicon straps. One that's meant to make smartwatches more useful and support longer battery life.

The Fossil Sport Smartwatch runs on the latest Wear OS platform, and is touted to be swimproof as well. You should get about 24 hours of battery life out of the watch with standard usage, but you can up that to three days in the new battery saver mode. It should last a full day in smartwatch mode, and then an additional two days in the power saving mode, which is created to only tell the time. There's NFC for Google Pay, GPS, 5 ATM water resistance, a heart-rate monitor and an altimeter.

According to Fossil, the watch will come in a 41mm and 43mm size options, with six colorways and a huge collection of interchangeable straps to choose from.

Pankaj Kedia, senior director for product marketing at Qualcomm, said the new watch is built on a blending of "technology, fashion and fitness".

I think Fossil is offering a pretty compelling package at this price point, especially considering the hardware and newer chipset. Because of the new Wear OS platform, the Fossil Sport smartwatch also comes with Google Assistant for voice assistance as well.

The watch will be priced at $255 (or around $351.79 AUD) or £249 in the United Kingdom and is available to pre-order in the United Kingdom and USA with shipping set to begin on November 12th.
