Logitech Seeking $2.2B Purchase Of Audio Giant Plantronics

Plantronics added in its statement that Logitech approached it regarding a potential acquisition, and that it engaged in discussions in line with its fiduciary duties.

Reports indicate Swiss accessory manufacturer Logitech is looking to purchase Plantronics.

Over the weekend, news leaked that Logitech was reportedly considering a $2.2-billion acquisition of headphone maker Plantronics Inc.

Neither Logitech nor Plantronics have commented on the news, but the report comes from Reuters, citing unnamed sources.

If this deal is done, it will be the most significant buy from Logitech, regarding money.

Logitech reportedly in talks to acquire Plantronics

It has been reported that Logitech is planning to buy over "Plantronics", just months after purchasing "Blue Microphones".

Plantronics had a market capitalisation of about US$2 billion as of the end of trading on Friday.

Then, this year Logitech acquired famed microphone maker Blue, whose desktop mics are used by podcasters and streamers around the world.

Neither Logitech nor Plantronics is remarking on the potential arrangement to any media outlet. Although there is no confirmation on this matter, a deal could be announced by this week if negotiations between the two is successful.
