Kyle Korver to return to Jazz

"I think just overall I'm really grateful for my time in Cleveland", Korver said.

Korver, who helped the Cavaliers reach the last two NBA Finals, has been traded for Alec Burks and two future second-round draft picks, The Salt Lake Tribune, the Akron Beacon Journal and other outlets reported.

Watch FOX 13 for updates.

Korver was one of the most coveted players on the market, and the Cavs have been shopping him along with forward J.R. Smith, who agreed to step away from the team after being unhappy with his reduced role this season.

Though the trade is not yet finalized, Korver is expected to be shipped to the Utah Jazz. "Obviously, being around, I know how that goes but it's something you never want to see with guys going but I wish the best for him".

Per Spotrac, Korver has one season remaining on the three-year, $22 million contract he previously signed with the Cavs.

Information from ESPN's Bobby Marks was used in this report.

Burks is 10 years younger than Korver.

The Jazz have been a disappointment so far, and Korver fills the club's need for an outside shooter.

Korver is averaging 6.8 points in 15.7 minutes per game, both his lowest figures since his rookie season in 2003-04.

Utah Jazz fans have been somewhat disgruntled to start out the season due to the team's lackluster play and the seeming failure of the plan to rely on continuity to spur the squad on to new heights.

The 27-year-old Burks has battled injuries over the past few years. It was there that Korver had his most prolific season from behind the arc, shooting a blistering 53.6 percent from downtown during the 2009-10 campaign, which is still an National Basketball Association record for a single season.
