'2.0' earns over Rs 150 crore in just two days

Despite being a non-holiday and non-festival season release, director Shankar's magnum opus 2.0 starring Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar has set the box office on fire with a Day 1 collection of about ₹74 crore (gross) across the country. After a slow start at the box office, Rajinikanth-starrer 2.0 seems to have gathered pace at the beginning of the weekend. Thursday 20.25 cr, Friday 18 cr. Film critic and trade analyst Sumit Kadel told zeebiz.com that the film has earned Rs 24 crore in the Southern belt on day 3. Reportedly, "2.0" happens to be the most expensive Indian film being made to date.
