Stranger Things release date revealed in new teasers for third season

The timely clip showed footage from Dick Clark himself ringing in the New Year in 1985.

A new tagline for the season says "One summer can change everything", and the streamer warns that "something unusual arrives in Hawkins, summer 1985".

We also learn that the Starcourt Mall advertisement from a previous teaser trailer is a commercial that ran during Dick Clark's broadcast-at least in the Hawkins, Indiana area.

Netflix has confirmed season three of Stranger Things will stream on July 4, 2019. A journalist, played by Jake Busey, will be making his debut in the new season of Stranger Things.

Ringing in the New Year with the merriest news, fans went upside down with joy as Netflix shared the highly-anticipated release date announcement on Twitter on Monday, December 31, 2018.

The brooding caption reads: 'One summer can change everything, ' while Will and Eleven take a look back over their shoulders looking unsettled. For example, what does 'WHEN BLUE AND YELLOW MEET IN THE WEST?' mean? This time around, these new episodes are going to be set squarely in the middle of summer, with the 4th of July holiday serving as a centerpiece to the action. The poster shows Dustin, Max, and Lucas ogling at fireworks in the sky, while Mike stares at Eleven, who is distracted by something ominous and out of frame.

We already know the names of the eight episodes in the forthcoming third series, which were revealed in early December.
