Maurizio Sarri says Callum Hudson-Odoi playing with maturity

The 18-year-old had refused to commit himself to Maurizio Sarri's side due to concerns over his lack of playing time in the first team, but Merson wants the winger to be patient with the Blues manager, Maurizio Sarri.

Sarri was happy with the attacker's performance and said Hudson-Odoi had shown no signs of being distracted by the transfer speculation.

Chelsea will still decide the destiny of Hudson-Odoi, but with only 18 months left on his current contract, the Premier League club may decide that the offer from the German champions is too good to pass up.

Bayern will have been particularly interested to see whether or not their transfer target, who only turned 18 two months ago, would sink or swim but there was no hint of the pressure getting to Hudson-Odoi. Of course we have very important players in the same position and I can play with only two wingers.

Chelsea are prepared to consent to a basic agreement, but only if Hudson-Odoi goes in the summer. For his future, I wish him all the best.

A source has told ESPN FC the academy youngster does not plan on signing a new deal, with his existing contract set to expire in 2020.

Hudson-Odoi has been continually linked with a move to Bayern Munich.

Therefore, Hudson-Odoi will be presented with an excellent opportunity to make a breakthrough at one of Europe's biggest clubs, although it's only fair to acknowledge Bayern's reluctance in giving young players the opportunity to shine on the big stage. "Now with the midfielders we are in trouble, I think, because I don't know the [injury] situation of Ruben [Loftus-Cheek], if it is serious or not", he said.

On Saturday, Fabregas played what looks to be his lasyt game for Chelsea in the 2-0 win over Notthingham Forest in the FA Cup, and seemingly waved his goodbyes to the crowd when coming off in the 85th minute. "I don't want a very important player like Cesc to be unhappy".

Hudon-Odoi would like to establish himself as a first team player.
