Burger King Trolls Donald Trump With 'Hamberder' Tweet

In apparent response to the tweet, Burger King had a tongue-in-cheek reply.

In a press conference early Monday, President Trump said he planned to serve the National Championship-winning Clemson Tigers a variety of fast food during their visit to the White House Monday night.

"Due to a large order place yesterday, we're all out of hamberders", the company tweeted Tuesday.

"Hamberder (n) - Like a hamburger, but served by an idiot who believes college athletes don't deserve respect", he wrote.

The White House would have catered the event, but much of the President's kitchen staff was absent, thanks to the government shutdown.

However, President Trump chose to feed the players a very nontraditional White House meal - McDonald's, Wendy's, Burger King and Domino's.

On Tuesday, POTUS tweeted to share his meeting with the football team saying he served a massive amount of fast food to the players, comprising "over 1,000 hamberders".

In a since-deleted tweet, the literal President of the United States bragged about treating ACC football champions the Clemson Tigers to a smorgasbord of highway rest stop cuisine-including something called "hamberders".

I paid for the hamberders. "And I said, 'You guys aren't into salads'". "So we went out and we ordered American fast food, paid for by me", Trump said, CNN reported.

"We have pizzas, we have 300 hamburgers, many, many french fries, all of our favourite foods", Mr Trump told reporters, as one White House worker still on the job lit tapered candles. "And I know no matter what we did, there's nothing you could have that's better than that". Clemson offensive lineman Matt Bockhorst tweeted "I mean you're not just gonna NOT eat the Big Macs stacked in a pile right?"
