India vs Australia | Happy to Bat Wherever the Team Wants: Dhoni

Legspinner Yuzvendra Chahal led the way for India, celebrating his ODI recall at the expense of mystery spinner Kuldeep Yadav with career-best figures of 6-42.

It took the leggie all of two balls to make an impact, and his double-wicket over rapidly swung the game in India's favour. Dhoni looked out of sorts in the first ODI where he laboured to 51 off 96 balls but rotated strike comfortably en route to his unbeaten 55 off 54 balls at Adelaide.

Sony Six and Sony Ten 3 will provide the television coverage of the series decider in India while Fox Sports will televise the match in Australia.

In the crucial series decider at the MCG, India will once again hope for their in-form top order, comprising Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan and skipper Kohli to score the bulk of the runs.

The final ODI match between India and Australia will be played on January 18, i.e. Friday.

Chahal, who registered the joint sixth-best bowling performance by an Indian in one-day worldwide cricket, made a great comeback to the format after captain Virat Kohli chose to make three changes to India's playing XI.

The Aussies who declared their final XI have made a couple of changes to their bowling attack. It was Bhuvneshwar who applied the early pressure by removing Australian openers Alex Carey and Aaron Finch.

Billy Stanlake replaces Jason Behrendorff, who is suffering from a back injury.

Interestingly this is the only second time India is playing a bilateral ODI series in Australia, India previously lost an ODI series by 4-1 in 2016.

Usman Khawaja (34) and Shaun Marsh (39) embarked on an attempt to resuscitate Australia's innings, but when the pair fell within the span of three deliveries in the 24th over, it left the home side reeling. He also achieved the distinction of becoming the first spinner to take six wickets in an ODI Down Under.

Considering the performances put in by the Men in Blue in the series so far, the Indian side are favourites to the win the third ODI and the series.

"We took it down to the wire, we batted really well in the first two innings, probably should have set the target a bit lower on this pitch", he said.
