West Ham Eye Up Replacement For China Bound Marko Arnautovic

With Bournemouth desperate to secure their first league victory in nearly a month, Artur Boruc started in goal ahead of Asmir Begovic while West Ham left unsettled striker Marko Arnautovic, who has been linked with a big-money move to China, out of their squad.

Pellegrini, who spent two years managing Chinese club Hebei China Fortune, said he understood Arnautovic's desire to move to China due to the high wages on offer.

The Irons turned down Chinese outfit Shanghai SIPG's £35 million offer for the Austria worldwide last week, with the 29-year-old admitting that he would like to leave the London club.

Arnautovic will not be in West Ham's squad to face Bournemouth on Saturday.

But the Chinese outfit also reportedly want another player who was once adored by Hammers - before he left to rejoin Marseille - Dimitri Payet.

"If they agree, we don't have any problem to change".

The West Ham manager felt that the player was not in the right frame of mind... I am not telling the club about it.

"If it's a good deal for both parties we will arrange to be without Marko", he added.

Pellegrini, though, does not expect Arnautovic to refuse to play for Saturday's (Jan 19) trip to Bournemouth.

The Austrian, whose hopes of forcing West Ham to sell appear to be fading, said sorry to the rest of the squad after training on Friday for pushing for a move.

The Hammers want to replace Arnautovic before letting him go and according to Sky Italia they are ready to make a move for Torino's Andrea Belotti.

West Ham have won six of their past nine league games, as many victories as in their previous 24 matches.

Despite the speculation, Arnautovic started last weekend's 1-0 win over Arsenal that lifted West Ham up to ninth in the Premier League.
