Icy Tuesday evening, wet Wednesday morning

While this past several days in Ontario have been met with extreme cold warnings and deep freezes, Wednesday's temperature will be completely different. Some of the heaviest snow will fall over the Metro area during the commute home from work (between 4 and 9 PM).

Tuesday's advisory will be in effect from noon until 6 p.m.as temperatures steadily rise into the low to midde 30s. Breezy, with a northeast wind 10 to 15 miles per hour becoming north 15 to 20 miles per hour in the afternoon.

THURSDAY AFTERNOON: Not a ton of additional accumulation through the day, another couple of inches at best, especially south of Buffalo across higher elevations.

WEDNESDAY EVENING: Rain showers continue.

The national weather agency says a band of snow will move through the London region Tuesday night, bringing with it between two and five centimetres of snow. Winds will switch up to the northwest behind the front, gusting up to 25-30 miles per hour. Lows Thursday night drop down into the upper teens.

Wednesday: 1-2 inches of snow in the morning, then becoming partly sunny. We'll have a very slight chance of light snow by Saturday.

Taylor said it will start getting colder again on Friday and into the weekend.
