Margot Robbie Shares First Glimpse Of Harley Quinn From Upcoming Spinoff Film

Robbie shared her new look on Instagram Monday morning, where a much more colorful Harley Quinn can be seen, in comparison to her character in 2016's Suicide Squad version.

And, just in case that goes by too quickly for you, here's some screenshots of the characters...

There's also Chris Messina a Victor Zsasz, Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya and Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain. The costumes are different, Harley's look is way toned down from how she appeared in Suicide Squad, while the electronic score and the cinematography feel nearly like the work of Nicolas Winding Refn (anyone else getting Neon Demon vibes?).

Cathy Yan (Dead Pigs) is directing the movie, the first female Asian director to helm a superhero film, who recently confirmed that Birds of Prey will be an R-Rated movie. A Suicide Squad sequel to be directed by Gavin O'Connor is also in active development, but Glenn Ficarra and John Requa's Harley Quinn Vs The Joker romance movie and David Ayer's Gotham City Sirens now appear to be on the backburner.

We'll take all the first looks we can get! While not part of the traditional Birds of Prey lineup, Quinn will be joined by veteran members like Huntress and Black Canary.

Margot Robbie's take on Harley Quinn, which first debuted in the messy Suicide Squad, will have a chance at redemption in Birds of Prey, due out on February 7, 2020. It's unknown if she will have multiple costumes in the film or will stick to this main look throughout.
