Former Manchester United target on his way to Arsenal? Maybe!

Arsenal only want Perisic on loan with the option of a permanent deal in the summer but Inter coach Luciano Spalletti and director of football Beppe Marotta have already ruled out that option.

Having always been linked with Manchester United while Jose Mourinho was in charge of the Red Devils, Perisic was asked about a potential move to the Premier League.

His exploits with Inter and Croatia have attracted Manchester United among other clubs, although the Red Devils have not managed to get hold of their target so far.

Marco Silva's side should plot an ambitious swoop for Inter Milan's Ivan Perisic and hijack Arsenal's reported interest in him.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport (via Mirror), Spanish giants Atletico Madrid have made contact with Inter to discuss the player's situation, and have been quoted a price in the region of €40 million.

Arsenal's approach for Ivan Perisic.

Ozil, meanwhile, has not represented Arsenal in the Premier League since Boxing Day, coming on as a second-half sub in Friday's 3-1 FA Cup defeat to United. "I think any player who can come here and help us is good news".

Emery said he did not want to sign defensive cover because it would lead to problems when his injured players returned to fitness.

The London club have been linked with a move for Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic, with Italian and British outlets reporting that the 29-year-old Croatia global has handed in a transfer request. "Perisic has expressed this desire, we must try to satisfy him, respecting the asset value that the player has for the club". Perisic could be Arsenal's best choice of getting Emery what he wants and a boost up to their attack option.
