Everton’s Idrissa Gueye is still hoping to join PSG on deadline day

Idrissa Gana Gueye is attempting to secure a move away from Everton to Paris St. Germain, but the Toffees are expected to reject any advances for the midfielder.

But Silva said that it was a minor injury which saw Gueye sit the match out, and that he was trying to be honest with everyone when he says there have been no new offers.

The Premier League duo are ready to rival Paris St-Germain for the Senegal global just days after the French champions bid of £21.5m was rejected by the Toffees hierarchy.

It is no secret the club are looking for reinforcements, with Zenit's Leandro Paredes also mooted as a target, but Gueye - for whom PSG are said to have offered £22million - will be staying put if Everton can help it.

Gueye has reportedly restated his desire to leave Goodison before the 11pm deadline following a month-long pursuit of him by PSG but it appears as though the French club will have to offer around £35m. I don't doubt we will see the same Gana again.

"I think with this information you can take your conclusion".

"He added: "(The players) being low on confidence and then conceding a goal and then coming back with chances and having possibilities to win the game made me really proud". The January market is really tough, because the market is open when you're playing and training.

Everton's opponents on Saturday, Wolves, sit two points and one place above them in the Premier League, and Silva is wary of the threat they pose.

"We know they are strong in the counter-attack with a solid block and fast players".
