Chelsea identify Everton winger Richarlison as potential Eden Hazard replacement

That's what they did this summer, sending Mateo Kovacic on loan to Stamford Bridge to sweeten the deal to bring in Thibaut Courtois at the eleventh hour - and they apparently want to repeat the trick again.

The Chelsea superstar too, has made no bones about being open to a move to Real Madrid, having iterated time and again that the Spanish heavyweights are his "dream club".

It is understood that he is waiting for the Blancos to piece together a £100 million ($130m) transfer package which will take him to Santiago Bernabeu.

It may be that their Belgium worldwide forward forces their hand, with his intentions set to be aired to the world shortly.

Chelsea signed American worldwide Christian Pulisic in a £58m deal from Borussia Dortmund in January, but he is expected to be a long-term replacement for either Pedro or Willian on Chelsea's right flank with both players in their 30s.

Hazard told RMC: "I know what I will do".

"My decision will be known soon, but it's not something that affects my mind".

"I don't know exactly the situation, but I think Eden at the moment doesn't know the final choice". I hope he wants to stay here.

In Hazard's case, we remain hopeful that he extends his contract - and will do until the day we see him holding the Real Madrid shirt. A decision on the 24-year-old, who has three years left on his Blues contract, is likely to be made by the summer. "All I have in my head right now is to work hard".
