Jets preseason schedule: Why Giants battle strangely leads off

The Cleveland Browns on Tuesday released its preseason schedule.

The Bears start the preseason against the Panthers at Soldier Field between August 8-11, with their next game coming on the road against the Giants at Met Life Stadium between August 15-18.

The Rams caught somewhat of a break with only one of their preseason opponents also being on their regular-season schedule.

In Week 1, Oakland will kick off their preseason schedule at home against the Los Angeles Rams, playing them for the second preseason in a row. And the contest against Denver will take place at the L.A. Coliseum in preseason Week 3.

The Cardinals-Raiders game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN. Gould has made it clear he wanted to be able to explore his options as a free agent, especially the possibility of a return to Chicago, where he played his first 11 National Football League seasons. The Bears, though, had the luxury of playing five preseason games past year. The 2019 NFL Draft is only a few weeks away, and holding three first round picks, expect the Raiders to dominate the narrative going in. Player workouts and minicamps constitute a large portion of the summer, but for onlookers, all of the activities in June, July, and August are merely leading to something bigger: The regular season.

The exact dates and times for their four preseason games will be announced at a later date.
