The two were going after each other all game but the stage was set by a hard fourth-quarter foul from Beverly on a Durant drive. Beverley immediately jumped to his feet to confront Durant as official Ed Malloy got between them and immediately ejected them.

Durant had words of praise for Beverley after the game. "We had to delay our film session so we could watch the last couple of holes".
