Pokemon Sword and Shield Remove Random Encounters

Pokemon Sword and Shield Remove Random Encounters

Seemingly the central new battle gimmick for this game, Dynamax allows Pokemon to temporarily take on giant glowing forms for impressive large-scale kaiju battles either in massive gym stadiums or out in the wild.

It wouldn't be a Pokemon game without new Pokemon, and this new video shows quite a few.

Wild Pokemon now wander the world just like in the anime!

Of course, you can also make your own Pokemon stretch their bodies to ten times their size through a new mechanic called Dynamax.

The latest Pokemon Sword and Shield Nintendo Direct introduced several new characters and plot details. In between each major town, you will encounter the "Wild Area", which is a large open area of the map where you get full control over the camera and can explore, find items, battle trainers and catch Pokemon. And a new Pokemon Direct has just gifted us with tons of cool new details on what we can expect in the Galar Region (Pokemon England). Using another wrist-worn device, the Dynamax mode causes your Pokemon to become absolutely huge, and increases their power. Zacain and Zamazenta are both legendary wolf Pokemon and appear on the covers for Sword and Shield.

We already know that Sword and Shield will take place in the Galar region, that Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble are the three starters for Generation 8, and that this will be the best-looking Pokemon game ever made. Pokemon Sword and Shield are out on November 15, 2019, and we're hoping that Nintendo will have more information for us at E3 2019 next week.
