Watch the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Gameplay Reveal!

EA Play is officially underway and the company kicked off the event with a bang, showcasing 15 minutes of raw uncut gameplay from Respawn Entertainment's Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Players will take the role of Cal Kestis, a young Padawan on the run as the Empire seeks to eliminate any and all remaining Jedi. Push, pull, flip (double-jump), and slow were confirmed after the stream.

As promised, Electronic Arts has released the first gameplay video for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. It will be held at the Hollywood Palladium and feature developer talks, gameplay reveals, and more, with livestreams for those who are not in attendance.

The gameplay featured Cal Kestis (played by Shameless' Cameron Monaghan) running through a trooper base on the homeworld of the Wookies, Kashyyyk. It's a Star Wars game, so there's also some satisfying lightsaber action with Cal wielding his own blue blade to slice through unsuspecting stormtroopers and Kashyyk's "multilayered deathtrap" ecosystem. Visceral's cancelled Project Ragtag game was described as Uncharted meets Star Wars by Amy Hennig, who directed the game, and Rogue One writer Gary Whitta.

Traversing the environment was similar to many other games of the genre whether it was swinging from vines or climbing up walls. We also saw lightsaber combat (which looks absolutely incredible) as well as usage of force abilities. As you unlock new powers and abilities, opportunities open up to re-traverse maps in new ways; leveraging the Force to augment the way you explore.

Vince Zampella and Stig Asmussen took to the EA Play 2019 stage with Greg Miller from Kinda Funny Games.

Fallen Order appears to be a linear experience, where you go from one area to the next, taking out enemies.
