Cyberpunk 2077 launches April 16, 2020, starring Keanu Reeves

In possibly one of the most surprising moments from any E3 in recent memory, Keanu Reeves made a cameo appearance during the Xbox E3 2019 showcase to announce his involvement with Cyberpunk 2077.

No doubt happy with the press received from this genuinely amusing moment, CD Projekt Red announced that they will be sending out a free copy of the Cyberpunk 2077 Collector's Edition to the audience member in question, Los Angeles-based YouTuber Peter Sark. But at the end, your character reboots (everyone in this world appears to have some kind of cybernetic implants and prosthetics) and is given a hand by a character played by Keanu Reeves.

Didn't we say 2019 belongs to him? A closer examination of the game's product details has revealed a key part of its plot. Following the release of a brand new trailer, the game has been confirmed for release in April 2020! Nothing more is known about this character, other than the fact that Keanu Reeves not only voices and lends the character his likeness, but that he also performed full-body motion capture for the role.

It's unclear which of the many Cyberpunk 2020 sourcebooks the collector's edition will include.

The title is available to pre-order on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The rundown is that fans have uncovered a secret message from CD Projekt Red, explaining its decision not to show gameplay to all of us watching E3 from home. The Cyberpunk 2077 countdown begins! Currently, there's a Standard and Collector's Edition. If you choose this latter option you will get a few exclusive digital trinkets, a DRM-free experience, and all the cash generated will go to CD Projekt Red.
