Lukaku admits his Man United future is uncertain

The Belgium global has been heavily linked with a move to Italy this summer and new Nerazzurri coach Conte has made the striker a key target.

And, speaking after Belgium's 3-0 Euro 2020 qualifying victory over Scotland, Lukaku was full of praise for both Conte and the direction Italian football is taking.

Negotiations between the two clubs continue to rumble on and United are understood to want at least £62m.

The report states Inter's efforts to sign the attacker are gaining more and more consistency, despite United's decision to not give any discounts.Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side value Lukaku around €70m and have already turned down the offer of €30m plus Ivan Perisic for him.

Romelu Lukaku has claimed that his future is up to Manchester United amid the uncertainty about his situation at Old Trafford.

The defender has since taken to social media to provide an update and it appears to be good news for Liverpool.

"I have a contract with Manchester United, it is up to them to decide". "I lost my place and haven't played much". I will speak to the club and my agent to make the best decision. I know what I'll do, but won't say it. We'll see. Do I expect a busy summer? Yes.

"But that is a phase in my career and it will help me for the next step".

Lukaku wouldn't be the first Belgium star to leave the Premier League this summer with Eden Hazard having joined Real Madrid from Chelsea.

The 26-year-old has spoken of his love for Serie A and with the likes of AC Milan and Inter Milan getting their acts together in recent seasons, he could end up in Italy.

The other factor in this is that he remains one of the only players United have who they can cash in to get serious money to spend on other areas of the squad where they need to rebuild.
