Neymar return to Barcelona is 'doable'

The Brazil global joined the Ligue 1 side from Barcelona for a world record €222 million (US$248.91 million) in August 2017.

With the transfer window open and new developments surfacing around FC Barcelona, here are five stars who could leave the Catalan giants, and five players who could join the club, including Brazil superstar Neymar.

Neymar may be going through his own personal issues at the moment, but the Brazilian is still a hot commodity in the transfer market, and is on the radar of both Real Madrid and Barcelona.

"I want players willing to give everything to defend the honor of the jersey and to join the club project", Al-Khelaifi told France Football.

Neymar was a huge hit during his time at Barcelona.

'Those who do not want, or do not understand, we see each other and we talk to each other.

"Nobody forced Neymar to sign for us".

Neymar's PSG contract runs until 2022, and the thought of him leaving this summer didn't seem realistic until Sunday, when PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi criticized Neymar in an interview with France Football magazine. "He came for the project".

"If it wasn't for that, signing Neymar would be even simpler", the source said. It has to be completely different.

Brazil boss Tite took the skipper's armband away from the 96-time global and gave it to club team-mate Dani Alves instead although it proved academic as Neymar was then ruled out of the Copa America due to an ankle ligament injury picked up in a friendly.

However, in a disappointing European run, Thomas Tuchel's men failed to reach the later stages of the Champions League losing to Manchester United in the last 16.

"His natural authority will be good for everybody - especially the players".

According to Le Parisien, PSG value Neymar at around 300 million euros and the only way Barcelona could get near this figure is if they include players in the deal.

RTL says Mbappe has told friends he won't be hanging around should high level threats to sell Neymar be carried out.

The UEFA ruling means Neymar will miss half of the six Champions League group games next season.
