Authorities investigate explosion at Florida shopping plaza

The explosion caused significant damage to the Fountains shopping center at 801 South University Drive in Plantation.

Officials have said there are "multiple patients" following the explosion at The Fountains.

NPR's Wade Goodwyn reported that the blast, which occurred at the Market at University shopping center, scattered debris for hundreds of yard and blew the roof off one section of the complex.

'Then we felt the building shake and things started falling.

Investigators on Sunday searched for the cause of an explosion at a South Florida shopping center that injured almost two dozen people.
