Amazon might actually launch a wheeled home robot and high-end Echo soon

According to latest reports by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman says models of the speaker are more extensive than the present Echo speaker, permitting the consideration of extra parts, including in any event four tweeters.

Echo devices control roughly two-thirds of the smart speaker this year, per eMarketer, but competitors like Google Home Max, Sonos One and Apple HomePod are chipping away at that lead, primarily due to superior audio quality. According to eMarketer, the device will capture 63 percent of the USA smart speaker market this year. Google now has 31% of the market, while the rest have a combined 12%.

It's unclear exactly what the intended objective of the device would be, though speculation is that the bot would be a kind of mobile Echo, bringing the Alexa capabilities with users around their home.

Echo Dot is a hands-free, voice-controlled device with a small built-in speaker. Vesta (which sought of rhymes with Alexa) is the working title of the wandering robot. Amazon told Bloomberg that the Echo lineup will "receive minor updates" this fall.

Amazon initially expected to uncover the robot, referred to inside as "Vesta", as right on time as this year, however the machine isn't prepared to be mass-created.

Amazon is also reportedly experimenting with other new form factors for its Alexa assistant beyond the Echo and the other devices now available.

It's unclear what tasks the Amazon robot might perform.

Amazon declined to comment when reached by Business Insider.

With over 15 products revealed at last year's Seattle headquarters, we can look forward to new products this year. The company is continuing work on an Alexa-enabled home robot called "Vesta" internally, Bloomberg also reported.

In addition to a higher quality speaker with better audio Amazon is also said to be planning a release of a new version of its music streaming service that would offer high-fidelity music tracks to pair up with the new speaker that comes with better quality sound components. You can also see, hear, and talk to visitors through Echo Show or Echo Spot.
